OCR is used for translating ‘images of text’ into ‘text’. Such text is then understandable by machines, and can be used for further processing. Rigmond Quantrial has developed a strong in-house OCR engine, which has powered various products and applications like vehicle license plate recognition, container text identification, industrial inspection, document digitization etc. We have experience in designing custom OCR solutions based on client specific requirements; including real time optimized embedded electronic implementations of OCR. The solutions include localization of regions containing text in images, and then using core OCR engine to ‘read’ text out of these sub-images.
Rigmond Quantrial’s Mosaicing Engine is a cross platform real time system for generating high quality panoramas (wide angle images) from live or offline inputs. The engine can work in two modes
Content-based image retrieval (CBIR) involves searching digital images in large databases. CBIR generally works by Querying which means by using an example image or a part of an image. The various criteria used for searching for similar images include color, texture, shape etc. By determining the same in the provided image and searching for similar features in the database of images using similarity measures, it is possible to return images with similar content. We have experience and capability to implement algorithms across various scenarios of CBIR.
